The Wiggle Jurassic Beast will take place on 11th of May 2014. The Beast is one of UK Cycling Events' original sportives, with 2014 representing the fifth running of the event. This year is set to see the largest number of riders attempt to 'tame the Beast', with a field of over 2,000 expected. Online entries close on Wednesday the 7th of May.

The Jurassic Beast is set along Dorset's historic Jurassic coastline and has some of the best views of any UK sportive, taking in the breath-taking Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove and Poole Harbour. Quiet roads and spectacular scenery await at the top of the hills as riders are rewarded for conquering some leg-sapping climbs.

To improve the iconic route still further the event now takes in the seafront at Swanage, offering riders an impressive sea view stretching over to the Isle of Wight. There are 3 Routes to choose from: the 100 mile Epic; 63 miles Standard and 36 mile short route.

Starting from the popular family-friendly tourist attraction of the National Tank Museum, riders can combine this magical sportive with a day out for the whole family.
