brilliabt day and event again (rode it last year ). My only slight crirtism is at the feed stations and no paper plates to put food on and this meant people eating food from their hand as they went down the queue.

What a fantastic ride - exceptional scenery, with some incredible climbs! It was tough but the scenery more than made up for it - a trip to the seaside and a trip to the mountains and lakes. The route has to be a classic! Very friendly staff and riders. https://www.rooferslangley.com/

I've ridden Le Marmotte twice know - one of the Queens of Sportives on the French sportive circuit. Everyone I passed on this event were riding standard or compact chainsets - don't be proud . . . fit a triple!

I've marked down the timing and website on this as the Glandon descent is not counted in official timing to discourage crazy descending (it didn't work) however how this is applied is not well explained. Also the wesite is "quirky" and the food stops chaotic.
The event itself is fantastic, I've ridden all the climbs previously on the last two Etapes but strung together with 30+ degree heat for the Alpe makes for a brutal day in the saddle - a must do if you can train properly beforehand!

Greatest day out on a bike ever. A real Physical & Mental Challenge for the serious bike rider. Not for the faint-hearted! It is a must do challenge. The scenery is just immense and the atmosphere around the course phenomenal. The Mecca of cycling .....
