Whilst the food was of it's usual exemplary standard, I was glad I had a flask of hot tea in the car to have with my lunch. I don't know why the tea/coffee van wasn't there. This is an excellent event which is well run amongst glorious unspoilt countryside.

The Drumlanrig Challengecertainlychallenged me. The morning section is taxing enough but the afternoon is not for the faint hearted. However, it was satisfying - in a strange kind of way and I'm already thinking about what I need to do to finish it in a more respectable time next year! Speciall thanks must go to Dave, Ralph and their team. of volunteers

Very well organised event, friendly staff, well signposted, marshalls at every turnoff and road junctions. Foodstops just right. The route is excellent, second part being a bit tougher than the first. My second time doing it and will definately be back.

If you are looking for a challenge then this is certainly it. Whether you choose to do the 62 mile or 100 miler then you will feel as though you have worked your backside off by the time you finish either of them. The 100 miler has over 6000ft of climbing. The scenery is amazing (if only the weather in the afternoon was a beautiful!) A very well organized sportive, worthy of the 90% rating I gave it. Well done all involved.

Fantastic event. Low key and friendly with old fashioned manual time-you-in and time-you-out timing; an absolutely STUNNING route that lends itself to a pleasantly speedy ride and there are few events with such an grandiose finish. Some fabulous touches like the young piper and drummer to welcome you back on both legs - well done girls, you were magnificent.
One of the best days out I've had for all of the reasons above. Events such as this that are free of the corporate nonsense that so many have bought into are a real breath of fresh air.
