A unique event for all sorts of reasons. Run by volunteers, all the entry fee goes to the Tearfund charity. The route is challenging without being brutal, and it uses quiet roads to explore some wild landscapes. It is the friendliest event on the calendar. This year was marked by bright sunshine and very strong easterly winds which made for a hard day out.
I will be back next year!

A fantastic event that was superbly organised by what must be the friendliest bunch of folk on the planet. I loved the route and I'm glad you kept Dunreggan Brae in - it would have been less of a route without it. Marshals at just about every junction was a sign of thorough planning and a big plus. I heard no complaints at all about this event, just the headwind. Oooh! it was tiring.

A tough route but with some excellent downhill sections to recover. Great food supplied and extremely helpful support throughout.

Car parking was much better organised than last year and the use of the main entrance instead of the grass/gravel/mud track was a much better approach. the food was of excellant standard and plenty of it even at the end, although a cup of tea would have been welcomed it did not really spoil the enjoyment of the day.

the setting with the castle as a backdrop is spectacular even if the last 3/4 of a mile is uphill the sight of the castle in the background makes up for the pain of the uphill finish well done chaps

One of the friendliest events out there, and all money raised goes to charity.
Stopping the clock for lunch is a great idea. I'll be back again next year.

Well run and friendly event boosted this year by the addition of a 104 mile route. Home made cooking for lunch was fabulous. I'LL BE BACK!

Really enjoyed the event. Drumlanrig continues to improve and learn the lessons of previous years. Was initially disappointed that someone pinched the sign, but when I realised it took a few kms off the route I was actually quite glad as I had nothing left in the legs. Top food. Top location. Looking forward to next year!

A great friendly event, let down by the poor road surface out with the organiser's control. Slightly disappointed that the course was a few kilometres short this year; making it uncertain for me if the Gold Category was achieved.

Excellent, as usual. This is what sportive riding is all about: a challenging course, with stunning scenery, and all proceeds to charity. It would be nice to do the ride without the wind one year, but hey you can't have everything. Friendly and welcoming. Spot on

Great ride- shame one of the signs was moved, but that isn't the organisers fault. Food at half time was delicious!!
