Really enjoyable for my first attempt I learned a loads about riding events madcmy own abilities spent most of the time on my own never got together in a group so slugged it out in the head winds on my own. A bit terrifying when the orgenised club teams raced through us amateurs it felt like being flattened by a train especially on the narrow roads with folk being forced off the roads to let them pass. Defiantly be back next year a bit faster up hill I hope.

Super event, brilliantly organised, and a challenging but beautiful course. I was prepared to withdraw from the event due to my exceptional circumstances, but I was accommodated without fuss.
No wonder so many want to enter every year. Unmissable.

Really enjoyed the day. Nice that the event is quite small as this made it feel friendly, parking easier, no queuing etc. Volunteers all did a fantastic job.

A unique event for all sorts of reasons. Run by volunteers, all the entry fee goes to the Tearfund charity. The route is challenging without being brutal, and it uses quiet roads to explore some wild landscapes. It is the friendliest event on the calendar. This year was marked by bright sunshine and very strong easterly winds which made for a hard day out.
I will be back next year!

Having done quite a few sportives, this was by far the most enjoyable. having been used to electronic timing I am delighted to say that the good old fashioned method worked a treat. My own time corresponded almost exactly to the manual.
Brilliant organisation and I will be back next year. Thanks for such a great day it was worth the travel from Fort William
