The Friends Life Tour Ride 100 is the official sportive of the Friends Life Tour of Britain, and now also the official sportive of former British and World Champion Mark Cavendish.
This October the ride will take in the Staffordshire Moorlands and the Peak District, including King of the Mountains climbs like Gun Hill and Hollinsclough Moor, and the roads used by numerous Tour of Britain stages in the area.
Circular routes for both the 100-mile Pro Ride and 50-mile Challenge Ride will start and finish within Staffordshire University's Leek Road campus, where a promotional cycle village will be the focus of entertainment pre and post-ride.
Partnered with the Official Charity of the Friends Life Tour of Britain - Action Medical Research - cyclists are encouraged to take on the challenge and support an excellent causes by joining their team and committing to fundraising on their behalf.
And now since August, Mark Cavendish and his CVNDSH brand are also part of the organisation, with the 25-time Tour de France winner playing a part in the organisation, as wel as attending on the day come October.
