The HotChillee Sportive challenges riders to take on the area of the 2012 Olympic Road Race and the North Downs including Coomb Bottom and White Down. The Epic route (83 miles) is an achievable challenge for riders with a reasonable level of fitness.
The route takes riders away from the event centre through Cobham Park to take on the North Downs with some tough climbs over the Pilgrims Way until you descend near Pitch Hill, where the route is more rolling as it weaves over the Wey and Arun Canal to the turning point of Kirford. This flatter "lower weald" has pretty villages which frame the ride on the way back to the Downs. The climb up over White Down and Poleden Lacey leads back to Cobham Park, and then onward to the event centre where the reward of achievement as you complete this challenge awaits each rider.
A Standard Route (68 miles) and Short Route (37 miles) are also available.
