Loved the course, with testing but not impossible climbs. Some very rough minor roads which needed a lot of concentration, especially on the descents. Disappointing feed stops. Try a Pendragon Sport event to see what they should be like! Timing chips are a must these days. However, I'll do it again.

A good, testing course. Timing/results system could be improved.

Great Weather, Great Location, Poor Event Management!
Signing was at times poor for both turnings and hazards. No Marshals on the course. Feed station 2/3 (same one) ran out of food (which was only a slice of Asda fruitcake and half a banana!). Certificates not available at end (will be posted I am assured). Toilets - None available around the course - only 5 for 800 riders at the start. Event Photographer not advertised on the website - No timing chips other than a paper card for start and finish.
I got the distinct impression this event was about making money with only the absolute minimum services provided.
Please don't get me wrong - this was a great course but there really wasn't very much delivered for the £25:00 entry fee.

Great event. Agree with comments on Km signage.

Great route and the potential to be one of the best but because of the absence of electronic timing and lack of food at stops provided very poor value for money.

A great route and well signed BUT facilities were poor; a free tea, a flap jack and poorly stocked feed stops may me feel a little short changed from a £25 entry fee. 800 riders were expected to use 5 or so portable toilets (you can guess what they were like). The queues at the end for refreshments and for the certificates were chaotic.

Overall, a great route but poor value for money in terms of organisation.

Great testing course. Event gets better every year with the organiser taking account of constructive suggestions.

Fantastic weather, superb course, but ............. signage markers at some junctions gave no or little warning. Queue to start and finish caused by timing cards requiring manual insertion into machine. One H5 drinks dispenser at drinks station caused further queues. Little choice of feed although the fruit cake was heaven. Could not face the certificate queue on one cup of tea!

Fantastic event - will aim to do it next year

A lovely route with long and often tough climbs coming all the way. Very disappointing feeds, I have enough of energy drinks and bars the whole ride and to have "proper" food is something to look forward to, not being all that speedy, when I reached the last feed there were only bits of oranges left. Poor value for money

Positives - plenty of free parking, lovely scenic and challenging route, good signage

Negatives - backlog in getting results, inaccurate km signs, shortage of loos at start, and en route (us girls can't line the bushes like you!), queues for food after (gave up), and useless food stops.

Glad I did it, wouldn't do it again...

Great route. Feed stop could do with more options. KM to go signs were way out.

This is a great area for cycling and this course takes in the best of the wye valley and the forest of dean. My second year - be prepared for a bit of traffic on the slower main roads in the Forest section and symonds yat had expected bottle neck causing me to stop again.

Overall don't let the poor members rating put you off this course - do it at least once - but as others have commented the organisation is "cheap" compared to other sportives. No food at first stop and only fruit cake/ bananas later on, no electrinic timing and inadequate start/ finish for number of riders.
