If you only ride one sportive in the year, make sure it is this one. The route is stunningly beautiful; pine forests, moorland, oak woods, much of it running either by the sea or along the side of lochs with views everywhere of the mountains. The roads are quiet and largely traffic free - a substantial part of the route is on single track roads. The road surfaces are mostly good. It is the most welcoming and friendly sportive you could hope to find. Plenty of food stops, good variety of food on offer including home baked gingerbread and flapjack. Don't be put off by thinking it must be extremely hilly either; there is only just over 3000ft of climbing which for a route of 100 miles in Scotland is pretty amazing. I shall definitely be back next year.

Great ride in an exceptionally beautiful part of the country. Relaxed and informal sportive where the route and the scenery is the winner. Plenty of aid stations and a lovely lunch organised by the friendly members of Fort William Baptist church. This is a brilliant sportive with just enough of a challenge in the first half of the course to keep it sporting but a relatively flat run home after the lunch with no nasty surprises late on. Mostly on quiet single track roads and quite sheltered. Highly recommended.

Once again, a great event to ride. The course must be one of the most scenic in the UK, and the weather miraculously gave us some stunning views and lighting to enjoy as we pedalled the route. Quiet roads and wonderfully enthusiastic support teams at the HQ and feed stations made it a day to remember. With only 2 road junctions to negotiate must be one of the easiest rides to navigate, means that routefinding is just not an issue. Thanks to David, Dave and everyone else for putting on a great event

Not a lot of riders for the first running of this event; but enough to show the team of enthusiastic and friendly volunteers what is involved. I know that the volunteers and the riders are already looking forward to next years event, which is sure to be much bigger.
The weather could be very different another time, but the course is not the most exposed and the HQ facilities are good enough for any weather, bring it on.

Great event. Very good course just enough of a test to be enjoyable. Loads of scenery and wildlife, I saw deer, red squirrels and seals. The views out over Rum and Eigg and over to the Cuillins were stunning.Feed stops were just the correct spacing. Definately one worth doing.

Stunning scenery on a not too challenging route. Very friendly marshals at HQ and four stops on the way round. Cyclist friendly food - bananas, flapjack, homebaked cakes and also filled rolls at the Strontian 'lunch' stop.
Thanks for organising the wonderful weather!

Wonderful event to ride, with weather to match. Although not the most challenging course it was a pleasant change to ride a sportive where riding flat out was not the order of the day - the views were far too good for that. The friendliness of the organisers and the club-run feel of the event all added to a most enjoyable day. It's just a shame more riders weren't there to enjoy what was a marvellous day on the bike.
