A good sportive with something to test everyone, the first climb at 'Portfadog' was a killer & drained the legs. The descents were awesome and soon had you forgetting about the climbs that had preceded. Very friendly welcome at sign on, food stops & finish. Would recommend and will probably be back next year!

Thanks for a great event.
The organisation at the start was brilliant, I managed to park the car and sign on in less than 5 minutes, a record in my experience.
All the promised improvements from last years event were delivered, especially the clearer signage and early warnings at the tricky junctions. The addition of motorcycle marshalling was a superb idea, I saw a lot of them on the day and there assistance throughout the ride sets a new standard for other events to emulate. The tweeks to the course also worked and in my view provided a tough but fair challenge. I'll be back next year and encouraging others to participate too.

Signs definitely need to be more obvious but the organisers have already acknowledged this and will hopefully rectify for next year. Great fairly tough course. Never thought i'd want to try beans on toast part way through a sportive but it certainly did the trick before the last few climbs.

Very Friendly well organised Catholics!

Great day out, yeah the signs could have been more obvious but I made it round, make them to obvious and people wil take them down!

Thanks for everything!

Loved the route, especially the horeshoe pass, and the climb out of Ruthin, and I managed, just, to stay on the bike up the vertical farm track!
Sign in at the start was fine, all very friendly and low key.
the only negative were the signs on the course - please try day-glo, or try an early warning a little distance from the turning. I had one poor chap crash into me, go down and hurt himself. I got lost a couple of times on my own, once in Ruthin, and again at the top of Loggerheads, and eventually gave in and went home.
It's a shame because the route is a nice mix, I met some interesting people, and I'd probably do it again - now I sort of know my way round!
Thank you and I hope you raise some funds for the school. Good photos as well

Brilliant event, Only downside were signs (already acknowledged), and a map of the route would have been useful / nice. I'll definately be doing again. Very well organised, and nice to see our money directly helping the local children.

Good event, do not mind steep climbs but did not go much on the broken track section, prefer to be beaten by the gradient not the surface. As said before signage would be better in Flo Pink or Yellow as it stands out, but green and white can be invisable when at 59 years old you can not see past your handlebars most of the time. If the standard of food is to be the same next year, then charge £20.00 it would be worth it. Well done on your first event.

great route, well thought through although the gravelly track from porthfadog was more cyclecross than road, and perhaps not quite ideal for the event. great organisation, really friendly and great attention to detail. i was a bit confused by the start time so went off late without realising so some clearer instructions would be much appreciated when i come back for a faster time next year (couldn't be slower actually)! an event with great potential, nice one.

For a first event this was fantastic. Shame there was no offical timing and photograpghs were lacking - I didn't see any photgrapghers on the 50mile route. The signs need to be a lot clearer and bigger. Also advance warning, I missed the right hand turning whilst hurtling downhill due to lack of warning. Overall fantastic route and the right challenge on the 50 and although I got lost on the way back and came back via the race course I can't wait to do this sportive again next year.
