First time I had ridden this event, and I did the 70 mile short route. It was testing, with some stiff climbs, and the course rolled up and down all day.

Unfortunately some s*d removed a sign and a lot of people on the short route went off course. We had loaded up the route on the GPS so we knew to take a different road at the junction. Maybe next year someone needs to drive the course in the morning and check the signs are still in place from over night?

Feed stations were fine. Perhaps more variation on the first one, as loading up for the middle sector is often key. Final feed station had plenty of food when we got there. As the other reviewer said, coming out and hitting a steep climb caused a lot of cursing from the group I was in!

Mens toilet facilities at the football club were pretty grim, but there is nothing the organisers can do about that!

The route had amazing scenery, real variation to keep it interesting and plenty of stiff climbs to keep you working. I'm coming back to tackle the 100 miler next year!

A fantastic route with the most beautiful Cotswold scenery. Thankfully the weather was kind for this event yesterday (10th Jun 2012). I was surprised how tough the event was, but that may be down to me not putting in enough training! I rode the Etape Caledonia in Scotland last month and i thought this was tougher than that. Both were extremely enjoyable though! Lots of rolling climbs and a couple of stiff ones! I was certainly glad to see the finishing line! The only thing i'd change is the location of the third and final feeding station. It was pretty much at the bottom of a short but steep climb. Not what you want as soon as you leave a stop. Other than that the evnt was very well run and the sign-posting was spot on, so well done to all who sorted that out. Work and life permitting, i'll be riding this again next year. Thanks again to all the helpers (young and old) on the road and at the feed stations, you did a grand job. See you next year.
