The best organised and THE most challenging one day cycle ride event in the UK period! But, be warned, this ride takes no prisoners! Train and prepare well and you will have a hard but satisfying day. If you dont, then the Lakeland Fells and weather will cast you aside and destroy you. Well done everyone for making this such a fantastic challenge ride.

By far one of the hardest things I've ever done. If not for an injury at 50k to go I might have been able to finish it. Will definitely be back to finish the job next year.

Fantastic event. Very well organised and supported by a host of marshalls and other volunteers. Superb but challenging course through beautiful countryside.

Let's be honest here...if you're expecting a fun ride while chatting away to your friends for the whole of the ride, you've entered the wrong thing! :-D
Bloody hard work and at times mentally challenging.
Something to brag about for the rest of your life though.
IF you complete it!
And don't walk ;-)

i wouldn't recommend this sportive to others as the descents are too dangerous even for experienced cyclists. the road quality on very steep gradients is poor at best. the shower, changing and parking facilities weren't great but i appreciate for such large numbers it is difficult.

An amazing day's riding with excellent organisation and friendliness in stunning surroundings. You're not supposed to "enjoy" the Fred, but I did, and can't rate it highly enough as a date in every cyclists diary. Brilliant, so pleased.

A truly fantastic event which takes in the many beautiful sides of the Lake District as well as its beastly sides, with Hardknott and Wrynose Passes providing the perfect climax to a tough but amazingly enjoyable day in the saddle!

If I could have voted 20 out of 10 I would - simply the best sportive I've ever done. Not particularly for the course (it's awesome, and Hardknott at 90 miles is the icing on the cake) but for the organisation, marshalling and support. This is an amazing experience, and also raises tons of money for great causes - people who turn up and ride without paying (you know who you are) should be deeply ashamed of themselves. Thanks again - superb.
