great event with plenty of hills just as advertised. i did the long route and the countryside and is so ever thought of putting the last climb in at Tod to Hebden bridge must have been laughing their head off. really nasty climb but well worth the effort. will do it again next year

A fantastic event - I rode the 'Long' Route - that was a decent challenge with the amount and nature of the climbing, and taken though some stunning countryside. It was a well though out route that had something for everyone The timed climb was a nice extra. The sting-in-the-tail final climb was an absolute peach.
As an inaugural event it was superbly organised, and the attention to those little but important details was spot on.

This is as good as it gets if you like hills (lot's of 'em) and great views of the unique rugged beauty of the South Pennines over mostly quiet roads and lanes. With more climbing per mile than the 'Fred' this is a real challenge (I did the 70 miler). Definitely a new classic - thoroughly recommended. Oh... and the PIES! A home made, home baked real pie in a choice of 6 varieties for all finishers. Pies to die for!
