Having never done a sportive before and being a novice (senior) cyclist I really didn't know what to expect - but I needn't have worried. Everyone was so friendly and encouraging it was a great experience - Thank You. Clear route signage, lovely flapjack foodstops and a welcome hot cup of soup on return on a very cold windy day was a real treat. I was even reassurred by the fact that if I had a breakdown somebody could come and rescue me! The only think which I would have benefited from and which would have given me more reassurance - is a clearer route map, as I didn't know the area at all and therefore not sure where somebody would have rescued me from!!.
Thanks to all the organisers, marshalls and volunteers - as without you all I wouldn't have enjoyed my first experience of a sportive so much.

My son and I entered this event and not only was it incredibly well organised they were higly supportive. They waited for us to complete the course and cheered us over the finish line. Someone even made me a cup of tea.
The sign posing was fantastic and the homemade cakes at the feed stations were exceptional.
The 60 miles course was tough!

Very well organised run and well supported with helpful marshalls en route. Good day out. Few minor comments - tricky to read the signage from a distance. Pink arrows on pink card difficult to read. Would have been better to be one big black arrow on pink background (Downland Sportive arrows were black arrows on yellow card and easy to spot).

Good food stops - excellent brownies and flap jacks. Might have been good to have rolls at the 48 miler point as proper carbo needed at that point.
