Really surpassed my expectations, much better than some of the well publicised "major" sportives - this one is a must..................

Really bad ladies blocked loo so didn't get to use and a man came out of it beforehand - the men already had 2 to use! I had to wait until the feed station to go again! It's okay for you men, you just go on the side of the road whilst still on your bike.
Fantastic signs and brilliantly followed up with smaller ones to reassure you were on track.
Brilliant feed station with lovely hot tea and yummy cake.
Sad to not get a bacon buttie at the end and I cam in at 12.05pm - not at all late, the rest of the bunch must have been annoyed by this too, was really looking forward to this and it was keeping me going, oh well, overall though a fabulous day and would love to come back next year.

Where did you find the hills? Brilliant course, very hard in places. Very good atmosphere, great weather, nice and cool with the odd sharp shower. Well done Peterborough cc for a great event.

I thought I'd say how much I enjoyed the event. After a slow start and walking up Rockingham and Harringworth hills, amongst others, I eventually hit a bit of late energy and rode more strongly through the villages after Harringworth to the Southwick hill top finish.

Must get some 'proper' training in to get round more quickly next time, especially hill work...

I eventually found a couple of riders I could keep up with. I hope they come back next year with more than '20 miles last weekend' in their legs!

A few words of thanks to all those club members who organised and ran the sportive. Many thanks to Ian Wild for having the idea and running it so well. Thanks to the club member who sorted my chain and gears out. I met him again in the village hall but his name escapes me, must be the heat! Thanks to all the club members who shouted words of encouragement, advice and, at one hill, a friendly push in the back. Big thanks to all the cake bakers! An amazing selection of goodies at the feed station!

Cheers to one and all!

Excellent event, for a first attempt everything worked well, though this could be tested with greater numbers. The course was excellent, the weather brilliant, the company superb. Well worth getting up at 5am to participate.
Manual timing really must be discouraged from events like this in preference for electronic in any shape or form.

This was organised by the local club, a fantastic route around lovely parts of Northans, Leicestershire and Rutland. Small signing on hut but perfectly adequate for the 200 ish riders. No electronic timing chips but didn't matter at all, they got my time right, and most riders have their own nowadays anyway. Good feed stop at Rockingham wheelers clubhouse, thanks. Couple of the signposts were tucked away a little bit from view but we saw them at the last minute. Great event for £10 - goes to show that local clubs can put on these events to the same standards as the commercial companies. Thanks to all of the club volunteers that helped on the day. Definitely do it again.
