Back again for 2014, bigger and better, this year's ride offers an
opportunity to raise the challenge a gear (or two) by boosting the 53
mile route to an heroic hundred miles.
From the start at Platts Field Park, follow the 53 mile route across
the rolling Cheshire Plain and scale the wooded heights of Delamere
Forest, then either finish the ride at Christleton Hall on the outskirts
of Chester or keep on rolling and complete the circuit, back at the
'second finish' in Manchester.
You can watch a video of the 2010 ride here
Bike Events acknowledges the kind support of the University of Law
in providing use of Christleton Hall as the Finish venue for the ride.
On the day registration is available between 8am & 10am and will
cost £18.00 per person. PLEASE NOTE No car parking availability in
Platts Field Park. Please use free on-street parking in Old Hall Lane
(other side of Wilmslow Rd. from the park) and adjoining streets.
"Great day out on a great route with some cracking views and lovely
leafy sections. Just wanted to say a big thanks to all the cheery
marshals and course-signers and congratulations to everyone who made the
effort, top work!" P. S.
"Very enjoyable ride weather was rubbish but it was a nice course a
few hills that sapped my legs a bit but quiet country lanes and all in
all well organized and for a good cause too will be back again next
year." R. B.
"Very enjoyable day indeed despite the weather. A big thank you to bike Bike Events for a well organised event." J. C.
