My 4th time, I just love this event! It has the perfect balance of having maintained a sense of a local/medium sized cycle club event without the feeling of hostility from other road users due to the massive growth experienced at other larger events... can't wait for next years event!

Fergal and Sarah have the perfect balance for this type of event. The entry limit is not too big, thus making it more manageable. With a free cup of tea and a medal at the finish is a nice touch.
The real winner is the route a good mix of fast rolling roads interspersed with some testy little climbs in beautiful countryside at a clever mileage distance of 90m.A great early season sharpener.

Superb event again (my third). Everything about this event is very well though through and executed - the team understand cyclists and cycling. Feedstations v well stocked and well-placed marshalls and supporters offer guidance and encouragement. Process of applying and registering all very easy and swift. The Uffington KoM idea is great - very motivational and should be used in more sportives. If you could register as a life member I would ! (I didn't want to raise any issues but if it helps the team - the one score that wasn't 10 was parking - the outfield of the cricket pitch could be used more when dry (?) but I suppose it's something you have to accept for such a rural location).

Another excellent event by Fergal, Sarah, and the team. Great set up, really friendly, beautiful route, and we had the sun again (it's my 3rd White Horse event). Most enjoyable. see you next year?

Great event. Although I live locally and know the roads fairly well. The way the route was constructed it could not be faulted Enough hills to test you mixed with some scenic flat sections and some fast downhill sections to make you think you should be in the Tour!!
A good early season test to set you-up for the rest of the year. Every aspect of the ride from signage to back-up staff was spot on and I think the balance of the event is excellent.
I would keep the entry limit to around 650 in future years as any more riders would spoil the uniqueness of the White Horse.

Great event on a good route, flat enough for decent groups to form and be sociable but hilly enough to be a challenge. and the sun always shines!

Fantastically well organised and executed - well done to all involved. There seem to be an army of helpers throughout the course including various people clapping and encouraging riders. The lad offering sweets just out of Marlborough was a nice touch ! Route is great. Difficult to find anything to criticise - perhaps a better route map (OS 1:50,000) would allow us that like to to study the route and relive memories afterwards. Disappointing that so many riders still discard gel wrappers on the road and verges - not much that can be done here apart from raising the issue more prominently in advertising and on the day. This ride is a must-do !

what a well organised, friendly and enjoyable event. Route signage was excellent, no need for gps or map. Marshals were well placed, friendly and easy to spot and the route was very enjoyable, enough to challenge but not grind you into submission. A must for next year.

Excellent event but riders in groups must follow etiquette, especially when overtaking or else events like this will be put in jeopardy. I felt first refreshment stop was too early, hence low score. The start is still a bit cramped and the exit/entrance onto the ride doesn't work well at the start/finish.

Excellent event. Nice route that was scenic and varied and challenging (but not over the top), really very good signage, quick check in, friendly and well stocked feedstations, nice overall atmosphere. One of the best I've done anywhere. All that's missing (like all UK sportives) is a nice big hot meal afterwards !
