This was my first sportive after doing RideLondon and I was surprised at how challenging it was, but the organisation was brilliant and the friendliness of my fellow riders made it an wonderful experience.

A great event, well organised and plenty of enthusiasm amongst both participants and volunteers despite the weather. A good choice of routes mean that almost anyone who can ride a bike can enter!

Great event overall. The entire route was well sign posted and the majority was on nice, not-much-traffic, countryside roads with good views. Highlights of my ride included the beautiful descent down into Thixendale after the tough hill and stunning views of Castle Howard and surrounding area. The only limiting factor was the headwind on the return after the 50mile mark with added gale force winds that day. The feed stations and volunteers were all excellent and so friendly. I would definitely do it again.

Excellent event - well organised and really friendly. Well signposted and nice route, although a bit too much around York at end

Enjoyable event despite the strong headwind on the final 50 miles. The route is quite easy and a good choice for someone trying their first 100 miler as there is only one substantial hill that is followed by a fantastic descent. Feedstations were excellent.

An absolutely fantastic event. Well organised, well designed and ran smoothly on the day - couldn't really ask for more. I'd prefer it if the timing was paused whilst at food stops but I appreciate the complexities that it would entail to do so. All in all, I really enjoyed it and would definitely do it again!

Overall I think the whole event was very good and I was very impressed witht the food stops. The only minor thing I would say is that I thought it was quite difficult to find the start if you didnt know the area, I think signs should have started in the City Centre if possible and directed you in. I know that I was a number of people who got lost before the event. Other than that it was a great event and I would definitley do it again.

Great scenery and a fantastic ride. The food was a little basic but who cares! The day was great and well organised by everyone who volunteered to make our day a good one.

Well organised event with a challenging route and great feed/lunch stops. A few more route signs and marshals would have been nice - there were a few points where there was no deviation from a road but no signs for 2-3 miles. But it was incredibly enjoyable and everyone from the events team was extremely helpful and friendly - will definitely ride again.

great ride well organised and excellent feed stops. couple of decent climbs in the first 50 and you hit the howardian hills near the end of the ride. what can make this ride harder than it looks is the wind on the day. 50 miles east then 50 miles west, we had a headwind for the whole of the second half of the ride..the only criticism was the goody bag, a coaster, energy bar, four pamphlets and a free trial pack of breakfast cereal, oh and the carrier bag !!

This is my second year doing this ride and although the ride isn't as iconic or as tough as some others, the organisation, volunteers, cake and feed stops make this a joy to complete.

Pretty flat ride ideal for completing a first 100 miles. No timing but it is a charity ride rather than a sportive. The marshals and people at the start, finish and feed stops were the most friendly i've come across and the food and drink available was exceptional.
