Lovely balanced 100 mile route with the right mix if hills and flat. Weather was great for the first half and grim for the second due to the strong westerly winds, but anyone expecting to ride round Anglesey without a headwind at some point would have to be deluded. Scenery was fantastic and the local support added to the atmosphere. One of the friendliest sportives I have ridden. Top marks. I'll be back next year.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this as our first sportive. I have MS and Fibromyalgia as well as other arthritic problems and struggled with the climbs (whilst my daughter rolled up them as though she were on the flat... very jealous!) and the support I received from the Marshall's was exceptional. I can not fault them nor praise them enough! The help and encouragement I received was second to none and I highly recommend this to all cycling families. There were children as young as 3 on balance bikes and it was fantastic to see so many families out there with their children. Try it! You will NOT be disappointed.

Despite being given a wristband to prove entitlement at the feedstations, no-one asked to see mine, which is probably why there were lots and lots of riders who weren't officially taking part but rode the route and took advantage of the feed stations. This probably contributed to the lack of supplies mentioned by another reviewer. One rider from a local club even said to my father when he challenged him, "why would I pay an entry fee to ride on roads I ride every week and there's free food?!".
Also, the drinks were completely wrong, I noticed the powder being offered was recovery drink, rather than energy drink- not what you need until after you've finished!
Otherwise it was a good event despite the wind. Will probably be back next year, if the feed stations improve!

This was an excellent event in an outstandingly beautiful area. Well organised, loved the real food, cheese sandwiches, crisps, cake, oranges and bananas as well as sweets, a proper party at each feed station. Toilets facilities were excellent, it was well signed with hardly and traffic on the roads. There were even personalised plastic bike plates with names on. Nice buff at registration and slate mat at the finish rather than the usual tut. Highly recommended

Although I enjoyed the event the feeding stations were not up to scratch they just seemed to be running out of food. Carry enough of yort own food next time or stop at a shop!

Good course to try for your first century ride. It's Hilly (1,700m of climbing) - but no major climbs. The wind will probably be a factor. The first 50 miles are great with the wind at your back, but lots of riders found it tough on the final 3rd into the headwind.
