17/06/2012 - Ardvonie Park, Near Kinguisse, Inverness-shire - Charity Ride

Rating: Rate this Event Now

The Scottish Bikeathon is back for its 20th year and hopefully it will be bigger and better than ever! Each year around 700 riders join us, coming from as far a field as South Africa and even Australia to have fun and take in the stunning sights that the Scottish Bikeathon has to offer.

Starting in Kingussie you will ride through the scenic Cairngorms National Park to Aviemore and return on a circular route along the Spey Valley - passing through historic Ruthven Barracks and back to Kingussie

The beautiful scenery of Badenoch and Strathspey is the backdrop for the Bikeathon, made famous by the hit series 'Monarch of the Glen'. Providing the setting for what is a breathtaking family ride, suitable for all ages and abilities. Even though the event is not a race, everyone is a winner as all participants receive a t-shirt when they enter and a medal when they finish!

So whether you are looking for a challenge, love cycling or just want a fun day out with a fantastic atmosphere, then tell all your friends, family and colleagues to be a part of the Scottish Bikeathon when it takes place again in June.
