Taking place on the 18th August 2013, Etape Mercia will offer riders a breathtaking 69 mile route through the West Cheshire countryside on completely closed roads. Without too many challenging hills to overcome, Etape Mercia is an entry level event which poses a fantastic challenge for newcomers to cycling, as well as seasoned cyclists and triathletes keen to lead from the front and put their mid season fitness to the test.
Etape Series ambassador Dame Sarah Storey launched Etape Mercia two weeks ago and since then we have witnessed an unprecedented amount of interest in the event. We are expecting the limited amount of places available to be snapped up quickly and therefore urge you to secure your place before it's too late!
Etape Mercia is expected to welcome over 2,000 riders of all abilities, from charity fundraisers and first timers through to seasoned sportive riders, all looking to accomplish their individual goals. Already being tipped to rival sibling events Etape Caledonia and Etape Pennines in terms of sheer beauty, taking part in the first ever Etape Mercia is going to be an experience to remember.
