the ride down to Brighton is fantastic everyone can enjoy it at any pace the return is a bit of a slog but the feed station at Rusper is a life saver if you were in any trouble all the contestants were generous with offers of help, I had two punctures and thank their generosity.

Lovely event, but what a headwind out of Brighton!

Good but hated the 'commuter' experience in Brighton Town Centre

Overall a pretty good event especially as it is local and I can ride to the start. I started late so was by myself most of the time which made some parts of the return leg a bit arduous especially with the wind.

Cloth goody bag with the pearsons logo at the end was a nice touch and it was good that some proceeds (not sure how much) were going to support the Marsden.

My only gripe is the inclusion of Brighton town centre - on a sunday afternoon it is murder and there are loads of junctions and traffic lights (assuming you obey them). I suggest taking an alternative route to the Dyke and missing Brighton TC completely.

Well organised and well signposted. Challenging route in the windy conditions (especially over the top of Ditchling Beacon)

All the staff and helpers were genuinely friendly and helpful. This was a big boost when getting to feed stops.

A big thanks for putting on such a challenging event.

From a Sportive Novices perspective, I thought the route well marked and the feedstops really well stocked with decent material. All staff were helpful and courteous. I'll be doing this again for sure and hopefully bring a few clubmates with me.

I enjoyed the event, and found all staff / hlelpers, to be very friendly and helpful. More experienced riders than me said cycling on the roads with cars speeding by was not a pleasant experience, i didn't know any better so just ignored it. Thought I'd mention it as that was from talking to other riders not in our group. Also, not enough toilets at any of the stops. Overall great day out and would do it again and recommend it.

Brilliant: felt fantastic to be barrelling along in a great gruppo. Major mechanical blow out for me so 10/10 for Morgan in the sag waggon. Well signposted, marshalled etc. Two minor tweaks for next year: perhaps an overly long way until feed stop 1, & the queue to get the little timing "necklace" at the start was overly long I'd say..but teeny tiny adjustments to make a brilliant day out even better. Pity there were so many punctures on the route but that's what windy & wet conditions beforehand does & is outside of Pearson's control: hoovering the road surfaces before the event is beyond the budget I guess

In view of the number of entrants and on a busy hot Sunday with plenty of traffic on the roads this was overall well organised.Signage was difficult to see but regardless maps and directions were good. Additional refreshment stop at Rusper was closed ( we were that slow ! ) but pub opposite was good alternative solution. As ever vehicle traffic up Ditchling was a pain and I suspect we are not best loved on these occasions.Well done guys and here's to the next 150 years !

Pretty good route &well organised in terms of registering and at HQ. But only 1 feed stop (not even a second un-manned water stop or anything) on a 93 mile route on a hot day is, frankly, madness. I did another sportive 2 weeks ago that was 70 miles and had 3 stops (didn't cost any more either) We had to get family to meet us & drop off energy drinks part way back otherwise would have been seriously struggling. The signage was pretty poor as it was hard to spot the small blue & white signs as you went round. That said, I made it without getting lost, so something must have worked.

A good challenging route though and a rewarding event to finish

Great day out, Guy and Will. Thanks for organising what I hope will be the first Pearson sportive.

It deserves its place in the calendar. Yes, the signs were small and yes, we took the same BHF route to Brighton, but we never got lost and we were exhausted when we got back, so job done!

John
