Excellent event, well organised, fast results the same day by e-mail, a fantastic route except for one very bumpy road we went over twice - earlier and then later on. Good food stops that were well supplied, brilliant value overall. We will be back to ride this again!

Good last minute communication, updating us all about the weather conditions and planned parking arrangements.

Well done everyone .

Even allowing for the adverse weather, the event was as good as last year's. Signage was excellent (not that there was a problem with last year's). Ian Wild must be congratulated in producing two challenging routes and the friendly support during the event for such incredible value for money. A template for other sportive organisers to take note of. Chapeau.

I rode the first version of this sportive last year and was a bit concerned the 2012 event would be a wetter, less enjoyable one. The rain that did fall seemed to be more isolated in nature than forecast. Slight changes to the Tame route removed any chance of it being a replica of last year's ride. No Rockingham Hill to climb/walk up straight after the food and drink stop meant I rode up all of the hills I walked up last year! A very friendly and sociable time was spent talking to various riders with topics ranging from cramp to the red kites that appeared overhead. At the feed station there were plates of homemade cake and flapjacks to go with the usual bananas, washed down with replacement sports drink. Good to see ex-pro Harry Lodge riding and seeming to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at the village hall finish in the village of Southwick.Sadly I didn't win any of the raffle prizes on finishing and having my number checked. I did see the lucky winner of a bike bag carry it off to his car and found out later he had a cycling holiday planned for Majorca in the near future so he must have been very happy. Many thanks to Ian Wild for organising and running this event with the help of other Peterborough Cycling Club members.

A great ride. My co-rider and I entered for the 90 mile route, but he was unwell on the day and we ended up just doing the 58 mile ride. But still, it was a lovely route, great scenery and very well organised.
Many thanks - will definitely be back next year.

Really good value for the money. Only cost £12 in advance and the cake and tea at the feed station was worth that price alone. I also really enjoyed some of the longer but not too steep climbs. Not too many of those around where I normal cycle and I found them to be almost continental.

Thoroughly enjoyed this bike ride although it was much more hilly than I anticipated but even the heavy rain did not dampen my spirits, would definitely do it again, maybe even go for the Wild One next year!

The longer route (Wild route) is a good, challenging course. Road surface is very rough in a few places, and the route generally has few smooth roads, so you get 'rattled' around quite a bit. Fantastic scenery, and mostly quiet lanes. Overall, the event was well-run. It's also v. good value for money compared to most sportives, which seem to be an excuse for making easy money.

Really bad ladies blocked loo so didn't get to use and a man came out of it beforehand - the men already had 2 to use! I had to wait until the feed station to go again! It's okay for you men, you just go on the side of the road whilst still on your bike.
Fantastic signs and brilliantly followed up with smaller ones to reassure you were on track.
Brilliant feed station with lovely hot tea and yummy cake.
Sad to not get a bacon buttie at the end and I cam in at 12.05pm - not at all late, the rest of the bunch must have been annoyed by this too, was really looking forward to this and it was keeping me going, oh well, overall though a fabulous day and would love to come back next year.
