An absolutely first class event. The planning and execution, from my perspective, was about as good as it can get.

Only one minor observation: in very hot conditions, as in last Sundays ride, it would have been nice for one extra water stop to be in place near to Doccombe, just to get you topped up for the last 15 miles or so. I do sweat like a glass blowers backside mind you, so perhaps it's just me?

Great event, well done MDCC.

I don't normally take time out to rate sportives but I have to say the Dartmoor Classic 2014 was the best event I've done in the last few years. 'Hats off' and a great big thanks to Mid Devon CC and all their volunteers, superb organisation. One of the highlights for me was the two ladies spraying cooling water mist onto the riders at the top of Batteridge Hill. I nearly rode back down to do the climb again! Thanks to all those people who turned out to clap and cheer the riders on - just the tonic when your legs are screaming. I'll be back in 2015 if I manage to get booked in on time and it doesn't turn out to be a ballot entry.

A great event and great weather. Beckaford was a change this year but totally impractible with recent surface dressing 000's of cyclists going up a 1:5 and a narrow one vehicle lane. The inevitable happened with 3 cars comng the other way and a tractor with a trailer. Result mayhem.
That said well organised, great marshalling, great sunshine and finish village. Always like the number on your shirt with your name too. Sadly glitch with results with download not available for pages from 28 onwards. Thanks to MDCC for another great event, perhaps look to close Beckaford road temporarily or reinstate Heatree and Hound Tor?

Superbly organised, friendly marshals along the whole course, well sign-posted and challenging day out. The best sportive I've done, by far. I'll be back.

Faultless event. From sign on to finish was hassle and incident free. Thankfully this year the weather gods smiled on us. Route was lovely (except some very dubious resurfacing work on one climb), signage excellent and the marshalling was top class. Thanks to all involved in running this event.

Fantastic event, but boy was I glad to get to Princetown and have the wind with me for the rest of the course.
I would suggest that one or 2 signs after you turn left off the main road to Kingsteignton wouldn't go amiss, the rider in front of me wondered if he was on the right route as did I, until I told him that I recalled some house that we passed from the route out.

3rd time I've done the Classic and every year it has been a very well organised and professionally operated event. This year, despite the weather and the last minute course change from a tree being blown down, was excellent.
