I could only mark it down on Support (I have no idea if there was any sag wagon or outriders as I didn't see any) and recommendation (I might not recommend it unless you were reasonably experienced due to small lanes and number of riders).

Great event particularly the marshalling. Its amazing that numerous riders who clearly did not finish the event cross that timing mat at the end and go onto record a "time". Whilst this is not a a race it makes a joke out of some the faster time recorded.

This has to be the most well run and enjoyable sportive I have done everything from start to finish was a pleasure even the hilly course I only wish I had signed up for the 10 miler definately next year though.

Just the right balance between testing climbs and fast rolling roads. Much better than last year, especially the atmosphere at the start and finish. Did miss the Dartmeet climb though. Marshalling was outstanding. Thanks to all those volunteers.

Fantastic event. Thought last years was very good but this year was even better. I did see one support vehicle but maybe a bit more visible on course support might be good (the Exmoor Beast was very good in that respect).

By far the best sportive i've ridden, the marshals were fantastic, it was great to see so many people supporting the event along the roadside, including the Red Devil.

Wen to the Saturday sign on which meant an extra few minutes in bed on Sunday - good to see some effort into making things run slickly in the morning. Can't fault the route or the staffing was excellent - cheerful, friendly and plenty of them - just how many people does the MDCC have? :-) It felt great to have junctions closed off for us and people cheering & clapping by the side of the road was great, especially on top of a moor in the rain! Will defnitely be back for this one next year ... assuming a bit more training and weight loss might be brave and actually do the 100 mile route (rather than bottle out on the Saturday!)

Signage and level of marshalling was excellent. The course was an improvement on last year in my opinion as it avoided bottlenecks in narrow lanes early on and the climb up from Dartmeet which had lots of riders walking last time. The number of riders, professionalism and HQ area give this a 'big event' feel. The route is pretty demanding due to the amount of climbing involved but none of the hills were so steep that I had to walk. The boards giving details of some of the climbs (ave & max gradient etc) were a nice touch.

Minor gripes: age related medal times would be an improvement and a bit more variety at the foodstops (ie something savoury) would be nice.

Fantastic event. I needed assistance both on the road and at the end. Thanks to First Aid Guys. One of the best organized events I've done so far. Cheers

This is a brilliant event, so well organised in every aspect. I did the long route and it was so well signed and was amazed at the amount of marshalls around the course. There were lots of cheering spectators in all the villages and on top of the climbs, even old hacks like myself were made to feel as if you were a Tour De France rider. The HQ was excellent and what an atmosphere at the finish. There's one thing for sure, I'll be back for some more next year.

Many thanks to all at MDCC for all their hard work in staging this fantastic event.
