Excellent event, well organised and no dramas seen. Friendly marshalls throughout. Hopefully any injured riders are all OK. Even met Martin Johnsno, so can't be bad!

Very good event. The litter left was better than previous years. What I saw was consistent with accidental dropping.

Because of mechanical failure,I did not finish the course. At no time was I asked my name and number,on finally reaching the finish,I asked a marshall ,who do I report to,so that the organisers know I am safe and well.Only to be told don't worry about it,just go home.I could have just cycled home,be in a ditch somewhere or A&E.I feel that this problem needs looking into for future events,a specific point of contact.

It's the only sportive that I have done, but it was manned by friendly and cheerful people, well signposted, well organised and the food and drinks facilities at the feed station were great. How do they get all the bananas to be of perfect ripeness?

If only all Sportives could be like this. Well done to everyone at Mid Devon CC. The Dartmoor Classic is a fantastically well thought out and brilliantly run event! Book yourself a place now, you won't regret it.

Loved it even though it's a tough course. My third Classic 100 in a row and finally got a bronze!! Well organised from start to finish. Very helpful marshalls and clear signage. Have managed to improve my time each year so will definitely be back again for the 2013 event and who knows, I may even get a silver!!

Thank you so much for providing separate portable ladies toilets - really appreciate that.

Any chance of having the results also printed in time order. I know it's not a race but it is nice to know how we all did in comparison with others.

Went incredibly smoothly even with last minute route change due to blocked road. This was my first sportif, It was as tough as I expected even with the extra additional very steep climbs. Cant wait to better my time next year.

Very well organised. All controllable elements dealt with, including tree across the route overnight!

I felt that considering the size of the event it was organised incredbily well, it must be extremely difficult to manage such an event from a logisticcal point of view. The smooth ability to alter the course on the day and not effect the rider experience is clear evidence of this.

I would say that althoguh I felt the course was very well designed, it doesn't cater well for the number of people entered on the day. I strongly felt like there were far too many cyclists on the course and it seemed to me like this encouraged some of the faster riders to take far too many un-necessary risks when desscending and overtaking in general. Although I found the marshalls and volunteers very friendly and helpful, I personally found the atmosphere amongst the riders quite aggressive and at one one saw another rider shouting at a small bunch of riders for going "too slowly" on a descent, before he decided to overtake them on the wrong side of the road round a corner. Of course incidents like this are near impossible to handle from a organisational point of view, but to me it displayed an air of arrogance from the more experienced riders that didn't seem that isolated to me.

Strangely, although there appeared to be many outriders on the section of course leading up to Princetown, I didn't see any at all after leaving and moving along the stretch to Moretenhampstead. Admittedly there seemed to be more people with mechanical issues during the first section of the course, but I didn't see a single support rider on the last 45km of the course despite seeing one crash and multiple punctures.

It's possible that the event has become a victim of its own succss and I really believe that if the number of rider was significantly cut then it would provide a much better overall experience on the road/. The course was tough, but beautiful, and although I may ride it again in the future I think I'd have significantly more enjoyment riding at a smaller event where the general atmosphere and attitude amongst the riders tends to be much more positive.

I loved the event; however, I think there should be more information - a schematic map especially - of the HQ area, particularly indicating parking areas and entrance/exit to the site. Signage to parking was especially poor for us travelling from the north. We drove past car park D [no sign southbound] and went all the way to the main HQ [where we parked for registration], only to be turned round and sent back again. Not all parking signs near junctions had arrows, so again it wasn't clear where to go. I'm sure if you have done the event several times this isn't a problem, but as Classic newcomers we found arrangements somewhat confusing.

Another great Dartmoor Classic, staged brilliantly despite adverse weather in the days before and a last minute route change. Very impressed.

My first time doing anything like this and was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and well-organised it was. Only minor complaint was that the event HQ was poorly signposted from the main road when arriving by car and the available parking was poorly indicated. Unfortunately nothing the organisers could have done about the miserable weather we've had this month!

A really outstanding event given the very high number of riders and a great deal of effort had been put in by the MDCC team to make it such a success.
