This was the second time I took part in the Arrow. Last year's was the first sportive I ever attended so I had to revisit. This time however I went for the epic 101 miles rather than last year's standard ride. The weather this year was perfect. Nice quiet country lanes with the only real busy road being out of Lincoln. The last few miles goes into the wolds which its hills can catch you out (it's not all flat in Lincolnshire). Overall a thoroughly well organised and enjoyable route. Will be going again next year.

as i come from Plymouth and train on Dartmoor it was a nice change to ride a flat rolling course. Just stick it in a nice gear and you could ride at a nice steady speed and cadance loved it.
feed stations were a bit of a dissapointment(not a lot of anything really).
but will hopefully do it again next year if i can

An excellent first 100 miler for me. Harder than I thought despite the relatively flat course. When you are used to the hills round Derbyshire, the discipline of pacing 100 miles on such a flat course is a different skill.

I only gave 8 for the feedstops because the only salty options (I needed salt big time) were pistachio which were fiddly to eat.

Other than that, an excellent event. And the mechanical support from Shimano was superb. I went to ask them to tune up my gears a bit and I rode away with a brand new shimano chain!!!! Result!!!
