I've just examined my Garmin route and it appears my 68 miles logged is because I did part of the 'Long route' without realising it. I turned off at Rosedale Abbey and did Heygate Bank without realising this was a split for the long/short route. I wonder how many others did the same thing...

An exceptionally hilly and challenging Sportive. Made even more so by the hot weather on the day. The signage was okay, I didn't get lost but I know others took a few wrong turns. The feed stops weren't great. There was a comment at the starting brief about there not being much food because they didn't know the numbers?! wtf? I still paid £25 and a few bananas and orange squash represents poor value for money compared to other sportives. The route length was also a little inaccurate. The 60 mile route was actually 68 miles.. not a major issue but a little annoying when you're counting down the miles on a really tough route and the finish isn't nearly as close as you thought! The negatives aside I enjoyed myself and had a good day out. The support staff were helpful and keen to help any riders with bike problems. This was the first year of the Moor Tour, if they improve on the above this could be a good one for 2013. The location and route are excellent...

As this is there first attempt I can accept some minor hiccups. In all there were suppose to be 4 feed stations the 1st two weren't even active when i went past and the last looked more like a private garden party. Signage needs to be a little clearer in built up areas, I passed a number of riders going the wrong way. i hope number 12 got back Ok he passed me with 6miles to go but I had finished for at least 20minutes with no sign of him. The rating was a little low but the course was fantastic and well worth a dabble if yuo like to push yourself. Thankyou
