Great event again with a competitive standard up front making it really challenging. I would recommend this event to all cyclists of all abilities. Lovely scenery all the way and great to ride in two countries in one single event!! Fingers crossed for great weather and facilities next year. Thanks.

Really well run sportive starting and finishing at Castle combe Race circuit.
Easy parking,Great signage along the route and a nice feed station just under half way.
Weather today was sunny with a little breeze and was magic.
Well done Andy Cook and Co.

No marshall at exits to race track and gate also locked requiring lifting of bicycle.

If not riding in a group or outside the main time other riders had left, it was quite easy to get lost (and I did get lost). Marshalls at key turning point(s) and more arrows would have been useful.

No course map provided at start.

excellent well managed event, only blip was the fact that I was not reminded, on arrival back at the finish, to hand back the chip

Out of the 3 sportives I did this summer, this was the best organised (nutrition, stops, friendliness, route ). Although my timiimg wasn't fantastic the signage man & pitstop people waited for us & made sure we were well supplied. Thank you - it all helps.

A well organised event on well signed quiet lanes that provided an interesting and challenging route. Would definitely do it again and recommend it to others

I thought this was a fantastic event and am very keen to do it again next time - the 100 miles and not 100kms though! It was a beautiful day and the scenery was stunning. I loved the route - even the killer-hill on the home straits!
One comment I would like to make though is not in any way a reflection on the organisers but on other cyclists. This was my second sportive event entered on my own and I found the other cyclists to be most unfriendly. In fact, I felt intimidated by the big, tough, testosterone-pumped-up men, in particular, at the tea stop and almost felt the need to "run for cover"! There were also many cyclists who went racing by without announcing their presence on the way past, which I thought was normal cycling etiquette. (Some were really polite but the vast majority were not!) This was really disappointing. I take part in triathlon events and everyone involved is always very friendly and encouraging. This said, I am not one to let it stop me from taking part next time.

Timing didn't discriminate between 60 and 100 mile route.
No sign of outriders on the day.
Info beforehand referred to route cards but these were not provided on the day

Small complaints though for a stunningly good day!

Something I will be doing again next year, first sportive I have done - others now have a very high standard to follow. This was a brilliant day out.

re Q5, the support question, didn't see any outriders or marshals but then didn't need to. no route map hard copy but was provided online pre-event. route was well designed and VERY well signed. food station was bit more limited in selection than some i've experienced but fine... overall, a great day

Absolutely brilliant day and would highly recommend. One improvement would be to supply maps to every rider - I preregistered but was told the maps were all gone when I arrived. Other than that the event was spot on.

Great route/location. Lacked marshells at some key junctions and some interim timings. Finally should have been advertised as 100 miles & 100km rather than 100 & 57 miles,

A really good and well organised event. The signage was especially clear, the foodstop (especially flapjack) was excellent and the route was very well planned - I used to live and ride in the area and still discovered new lanes.

My first ever Sportive at the grand old age of 52 & despite my initial trepidation I had an absolute ball over the 60 mile route. Clear signage, wonderfully scenic route, good food & super friendly staff. However I really need get much fitter & lose way more weight to tackle that Hawkesbury Upton climb again! Will definitely recommend it to my cycling buddies - I'm now really looking forward to next year!
