The ride itself is tough, with two particularly demanding climbs, but tough in a good way, and the views are stunning. I found everyone incredibly friendly. Thoroughly well organised, very friendly and great scenery. Some brutish climbs too.
Where else do you get a tour stage winner helping you park as last year, or passing out bananas as this year, great to riders young and old. No fuss.
Electronic chip times would help out for future for ease.

If you wanted to be petty and picky you could say they need to stock gels and carb drinks at the food stations, but flapjacks and bananas are great for riding on and at 70 miles it is not a mind blowingly long ride; I took a couple of sachets of carb drink powder with me to mix in with the water that was available while you can fit enough of your favourite ride food in your pockets.

I'm looking forward to next years already and will take myself round the course when I get a day pass - thoroughly enjoyed the ride!
