Well organised event. Everyone incredibly helpful & friendly. Organisers should be congratulated on a job very well done - thank you to all involved. I lost all energy on the last leg but that is down to me NOT them. At 66 years old I am not sure if I have it in me to try again next year but I would certainly hope so!

Very well organised. From pre ride information to feed stops you could tell these people knew what they were doing.

Fantastic event, really well organised but with a nice light touch. Attracted a great bunch of riders and fostered a lot of cameraderie on the road. Exceptionally well stocked feed stations, positioned well. Longest ride of my life and Hardknott/Wrynose truly 'epic', big sting in the tail crossing the NY Moors after the last feedstop. I've not been so excited to see the sea since I was six! Good crowd at the finish, the dry weather and wind behind certainly helped but a great sense of achievement. Negatives - none really - I camped before/after which had good & bad parts, maybe I wouldn't go for sleeping on a sports hall floor to the sounds of snoring & seagulls next time but after the effort it didn't really matter and I still appreciated the option having left it too late to make other arrangements in Whitby. I guess I'd somehow leave my car in Whitby rather than transfer back to Penrith next morning ideally but 'chapeau' to the organisers for running the best sportive I've ever taken part in.

All the staff were helpful and friendly. Exceptionally well organised, almost military like! I needn't have worried about buying a garmin the route was clearly marked and unambiguous. I took waaay too much food with me, wish I known the feed stations were going to be buffet like! Would search out Open Cycling events in the future.

Excellent event, can barely fault anything; they'd even arranged dry weather and a tailwind! Would have liked an official "on the bike" time ie excluding food stops. But that's nitpicking really. Definitely planning to return next year to fully conquer Hardknott Pass :-)

Fantastically well organised for a complex event. Loads of transfers and support and really really friendly. Route was tough, but organisers resisted the temptation to take in every hill along the way. Fabulous event! Highly recommended.

Timing would have been better having a chip on the bike rather than wearing a dibber around neck.

Finish was overshot by a lot of riders including myself, easily missed and onto a pedestrian walkway, not sure how you overcome this, maybe better support from Whitby council?
Awesome event

Amazing event that alows everyone to finish (8 to 20 Hours) as there are no cut off times.

The only niggle is if you need the coach transfers at the start and finish, but overall an excellently planned and run event.
