This was a tough but fantastic ride. Well signposted and supported. It was the friendliest event I have ridden in.
I rode on my own, which I was a bit worried about as it is so tough, but all the riders were friendly and the organisers kept appearing at the top of passes giving alot of encouragement and being very friendly. Everyone at the start, feed stations, and finish were so friendly and chatty it made it thoroughly enjoyable day. I will definitely ride it again.

A small tough sportive. Think of this as a summer Fred Whitton but with far few people getting in the way and a bit warmer.

Worth doing if you like climbing.

fabulous little event, shame there weren't many riders but i'm sure that will change when word gets around. fantastic course but very tough, should be some vetting of riders because the multitude of climbs could catch out the unwary. would definitely do it again.

These people do it right. Friendly and helpful, thoroughly meticulous in their planning. Signage was perfect, I always knew I was on the right course, and could download a garmin course as a backup. Feed stations were well placed and had a range of food, as well as water. The support van followed the route in case of anyone running into trouble. Basically, if you can think of anything to make your day go smoothly and for you to have an enjoyable day, these guys did it. Hats off, and thank you - they even managed sunny weather in the lake district and that made the view from the course truly magnificent.

An excellent event in every way - the overall route, support, marshalling, signage, food, facilities at the start-finish. My only slight niggle is that the route map could have been printed more clearly, given the intricacy of the route, but the excellent signage largely made up for that. The route was cleverly designed to avoid main roads. Even so, you are bound to encounter traffic on the smaller roads in midsummer, especially over the iconic passes of the Lake District - but that's a price worth paying for the good weather!

Probably the sportive in the Lakes. Stunning scenery with multiple gruelling steep climbs. The Whitton Challenge is a fantastic mass participation day out, but this ride is a more intimate affair with friendly organisers and hills you won't forget for a while!

Superb events, relaxed but professionally organised, superb signage with the cyclist in mind.
Hard routes that give you a real sense of achievement.
As said in the feedback sheet, keep doing what your doing because it works a treat,)

The 'Tour of the High Passes' was great fun: friendly and efficient organisation, a lovely route with some brutal climbs and stunning scenery, and good food shops for the price. I would highly recommend it to others, but beware that there is about 4k of climbing.
