Saw the great man for about 2 seconds and that was it! Long route was very mundane after the first 30 miles and the second feed stop ran out of energy drink. Not a great advert for Zipvit. Very well chosen places to stop which had proper facilities (i.e. toilets!!). If I was to make any criticism at all it would be that two feed stops is not a lot for a 106 mile route on a warm day. However, the ride did go through some very picturesque villages with village stores that were open so had it been necessary (which it wasn't for me) it would have been easy to pick up water / coke etc.

The food at the pasta party the night before was excellent and as it was self-service you could have as much or as little as you wanted.

The post ride food was also good with boxed pasta salads and water and a very nice goody bag with ZipVit starter pack and a continental bike pack with a spare tyre and levers, along with food and massage voucher.

I will definitely be back next year.
