A choice of 4 distances - The Fisherman 36mls, The Sore Legs 50mls, the Leg Breaker 65mls, or the Crippler 80mls Reliability Trials. The three longer routes take the same outwards hilly route, but then split. The Leg Breaker is the same route as the Sore Legs, but has an extra 15mls in the middle. The Crippler deviates totally after 28 mls and pulls in another two hard hills as well as the extra distance. The Fisherman is a totally different and much easier route. At a cost of only £12 to enter the ON THE RIVET RELIABILITY TRAIL is a must do early season event starting and finishing in Burgess Hill on the 19th February. Organised by SRS Events on behalf of a new cycling club in Brighton called ON THE RIVET Velo Club, this reliability trial has two routes to choose from with a 48 mile or 74 mile route. Here at Beds Road CC we are running a Reliability Ride on Sunday 13th February and 27th February. There is a choice of two routes, one shorter than the other. The routes take some of the quietest and most picturesque roads available to us in Bedfordshire, taking in either 51 or 70 miles.
CTC CHAMPIONS hold the first all family sportive day with rides for everyone. There are 2 sportive routes to test the regular cyclists and the long hilly offering a good ride for experienced riders and the short flat route to offer a great first taste or come and try ride for those riders with ambitions of bigger rides later in the year.
