An opportunity to gauge a rider's fitness in this the first major Sportive of the year. Only 106K long but a real test of endurance over some of the toughest miles that you'll find in the South. THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.
Following the popular format from last year, the same 2 routes of 57 and 79 miles taking in the beautiful Dorset countryside with a few testing climbs to stretch the early season legs, with 2 feeds and the famous Pies on your return to the Start at the Blandford School, kick off the Series.
Both routes start at Herzlia Constantia (Old Kendal Road), and head out along Spaanschemat and Steenberg Roads and onto Westlake Drive. From here it's onto Boyes Drive, continuing along the Main Road through Fish Hoek where the routes split at the Fish Hoek Circle. The 84 km route turns left and continues to Simonstown and Smitswinkel, through Scarborough and up the Slangkop climb at Kommetjie. Return to Constantia via Ou Kaapse Weg and Spaanschemat River Road, turning left into Ladies Mile Exte...
Join us for RideIt! Leeds and immerse yourself in stunning lanes and countryside. We offer you 2 days of cycling enjoyment to choose from with Mountain Bike riding on the Saturday and Road Sportive on Sunday. Leeds maintains the essence of rural tranquility and is a pleasure to explore by bike.
Every year this event is becoming increasing popular and with 140 plus participants taking part in last years event so we have staggered the start time to avoid one large group of riders on the road at anyone time. On the day riders can sign on and then head off when they are ready in their own groups, or to tag along with other groups (8 to 18 riders is the optimum number for safety).
