The Tri Nations Bike & Hike is to not only an attempt to climb the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales but cycle from one to the other in 6 days.
The sportive will start from Shipston on Stour and both the 80 mile EPIC and 50 mile CHALLENGE events will be comprehensively signed posted, route cards with emergency contact details will be provided to each rider and full .gpx files will be available for riders to upload to GPS devices.
The 2012 Cheshire Plains and Peaks Sportive, in aid of St Rocco's Hospice, Warrington, builds on the success of the first three years and incorporates further improvements, notably to the final 20km. Two routes of 60 and 100 miles are offered, with the longer route taking in 1660m of climbing through the Peak District. The event has been favourably featured in both Cycle Active and Cycling Weekly. A post-ride sports therapy massage is available (additional small donation requested)

The ideal location to launch onto the South Downs. Warming up along the roads out of Petersfield we join the Downs at South Harting and follow the land east, don't forget to stop and enjoy the views towards the coast before heading back to base for a nice cup of tea.
